Katedral Dörtlüsü (1964-1999), kaydettiği harika müzikle ünlüydü. Onları canlı konserde görecek kadar şanslıysanız, şovlarının büyük bir kısmının George Younce’un ortağı Glen Payne hakkında şakalar anlattığını bilirsiniz. Şaka ve kimya rakipsizdi. İşte Big Springs, Teksas’taki 1994 konserine bir bakış. Sadece mizah… şarkı söylemek yok. Ses ve video harika değil ama George ve Glen her zamanki gibi harika! ernie ile iyi eğlenceler

I am thankful that my dad introduced me to these old time Southern Gospel groups. I remember listening to groups like the Cathedral Quartet, the Speer Family, the Blackwood Brothers, the Happy Goodman Family, and the Florida Boys.
What a special fella George was, and Glenn too. Prayer worriers, and such Godly men. Proof right here….laughing is definitely contagious 😊
I wish the parrot story was taped. It was hilarious
Amo the cathedral quartet
Thank you
Oh, my! How delightful!
He use to get tickle everytime. 🤣😂😆

We the people needs more people like this man in our world
Ernie, thank you SO much for obeying the Spirit in prompting you to post this! The Lord alone knows what we need, even if we don't! I needed this, especially today. Just finished reading Spurgeon's commentary on Numbers 6 on the Aaronic blessing. How true is the Word of God! Praise Him! I pray you are feeling better now & God bless you brother and your family!
Priceless
Mister Haase you may or may not red this but thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much, Ernie, for sharing this gem with us.
Brought back fond memories! Loved it!
Ernie
Thank you very much.
Lightened my heart.
When Glen was a young boy, the Dead Sea was just sick.
So Glen’s wife got a parrot the other day. And for some reason Glen hates that bird. So one day, his wife was surprised to see Glen talking to the parrot. She went closer to hear what he was saying. He was teaching the parrot to say – “Here kitty kitty”
Ernie, thanks for compiling this collection of George’s humor. How Glen could keep from laughing while George was telling the joke is beyond me. My wife and I were blessed to attend a Cathedral’s concert. Yes you were singing tenor. May God continue to Bless you as you encourage gospel music fans with your singing.
My grandmother introduced me to the Cathedrals and I love their music to this day. On a bad day for me a lot of times nothing better can do the trick than listening to Raise The Roof, Standing By The River or This Ole House.
I thought you said there was no singing! 😂
Was George wearing one of his Tabasco ties that night?

Oh bless his heart. He was filled with the joy of the Lord!!!!!! The boys in the front row were hilarious too. They loved George. Was so sweet to watch them
Love George as he sang the laughing song !!!!!

This is fantastic! "I love old people" is one of my favorite parts of the George and Glen comedy and this compilation is perfect! Thanks for putting it together!
Is Mack Taunton still alive?
Thank you very much Ernie. I always love George and Glen. I wish a quartet would try to copy them with the jokes and up lifting camp songs.
I love George Younce, miss this guy. Glen Payne too. Laughed so hard I cried.

Ernie it was so nice to see this tape. You are right I laughed thru the whole thing. I just love your shows too. I don't know how one man can have so much energy and talent.
Just watched this & loved it…thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing this! What a treasure you have in those VHS tapes!
Ernie, in 1996, I saw The Cathedrals live in Tulsa; I was twelve years old. It seemed like there was this ongoing bit about how old Glen was; almost if he kept having to be woke up or something! I grew up a huge fan of southern gospel singing, and George, Glen, Scott, and YOU were heroes. It’s truly a privilege to be able to view your YouTube channel and keep tabs on all that is going on these days, and a clip like this from a time when this was so meaningful in my life, is such a treasure.
Loved that. Thanks Ernie for sharing your memories 😊🙏🏻
Classic…i love it!
This was hilarious,I've had my medicine for today!!!
